This beautiful section of the Yukon River is not as well traveled as the upper section but provides a wonderful journey through the Yukon Charley River preserve.   You will visit the town of Eagle and perhaps wander the historic site of Fort Egbert, stop at Slaven Roadhouse and possibly stay in one of the Public Use cabins in the preserve. The fascinating history is covered in detail in the book with many historical photos and as always, the maps are detailed and up to date.
